I agree with asomlt everything you said, ESPECIALLY about Joe Jackson — he’s just a scumbag who’s out for money and attention, and always has been. The only point I have to disagree with you on, however, is your statement about Janet. I might be a little biased as a fan, but aside from some bad decisions, I think Janet is decently genuine. I would understand your statements if she got up there for like 15 minutes and talked about her own career, but her statement at the BET awards was all about her brother — although it can be convoluted into a PR opportunity, which honestly anything can, that statement seemed fairly selfless to me. She’s also completely replaced her official website with her statement — it’s not like she or anyone else put up “Oh, by the way, if you want to hear music from a Jackson that’s still alive, Janet’s new album drops in 2010!” or something similar. You’re very critical on that point, and I think it’s a bit unwarranted, since she’s made no other public statements and honestly I think many would have freaked out if a Jackson DIDN’T show up on BET.Like or Dislike: 0 0

I’m so sick of the Machiavellianism of the Obama cmaapign operatives and their orchestrated “Good Cop – Bad Cop” routines! Bad Cop Reverend Wright-Good Cop Obama disowns him. Bad Cop Gen.Clark disses McCain-Good Cop Obama praises McCain and ‘disagrees’ with Clark. Bad Cop Jesse Jackson insults Obama – Good Cop Obama benefits from backlash (“It reinforces Obama’s effort to present himself as an advocate of responsible personal behavior, a position that Republican candidates like to secure as uniquely their own,” –reported on Drudge)Doesn’t anyone else get it ??!!!??!? The public is numb.

I think this may help Obama. If he is seen as being actetkad by Jackson, it will reinforce the “moderate” image he is currently cultivating. And since 90+% of African Americans vote Democratic anyway, Obama hardly has to worry about losing their support.

The rest of us in Irvine rnzegoice the Grand Jury report for what it really is.A politically driven document by a political body to smear those they don’t like.The County has done an outstanding job of ignoring the Grand Jury on any number of issues for some time. Namely jail overcrowding.This is nothing new. And sane people rnzegoice and remember just how interested the County was in ramming an airport into our backyard. And that is why the average Irvine resident gives the Grand Jury all the credibility it deserves……Zilch.
